Mobile Batteries Last Longer

July 22, 2008 · Filed Under Mobile Phone Accessories · Comment

Many people become very frustrated when it comes to replacing their cell phone with all the models on offer; additional services and features have transformed this very popular device. Strangely, many buyers overlook certain important things before making their purchase; below are some facts every user should know before upgrading. With the advancements in battery technology, batteries last much longer than they did when they were first invented but waiting until the last possible moment to recharge is not a good idea.

Leaving the recharging to last minute like this, over an extended period means the battery will need to be replaced earlier than it needs to be, and these cell phone batteries are quite expensive. Some cell phones have an automatic back light facility which only comes on when buttons are pressed which saves unnecessary power drain from your battery. If your phone does not have this function, turn the back light off when you are not using the phone or turn down the brightness if this cannot be done. When the phone is operational, it is constantly searching for a signal which is ok when there is good signal strength but if this is lost, it still tries to find a signal using more power and draining the cell phone battery in the process; the same way that long conversations do. Cell phones today have so many features, all of which drain power even though no conversation is taking place so keeping these to a minimum will increase the battery life.

One way that young people get caught out is with the many things they can now download onto their phones which are often chargeable even if this is not made clear at the time of purchase. Children are usually the most likely candidates to get caught out like this so if you are buying a phone for your child try to buy a model where you can disable this function with a password.

When buying a cell phone with a one or two year contract or pay-per use agreement, be sure to read the fine print and consider how many minutes you plan to use each month. Users who make frequent calls will undoubtedly find a contact with a set amount of minutes the better of the two options available. Many features are specific to certain plans so you will need to think about how you intend to use the phone to have the best features you require as part of your contract.

Also with any plan, consider if long distance is included so find out the usual roaming charges, connection fees (if applicable), and if there are any other hidden fees in the plan. Some companies will replace your phone if it breaks or is lost or stolen so consider the insurance warranty before buying because they are typically carried around everywhere; which means they can easily get broken or damaged and a warranty will give you peace of mind. When buying cell phones online, be sure the phone is up-to-date and carries all the features you want. You can then visit a local store to purchase minutes or to sign up for a contract but just be sure you buy from a company you trust.

An Integral Part Of Our Lives

I doubt that anyone disagrees with the fact that the cell phone has become an indispensable part of people’s lives. Cell phones have become an integral part of our lives and businesses rely on being able to contact their employees wherever they are. Nowadays the cell phone is used by individuals from every walk of live and in any part of the world. What most people want though is a cell phone plan that meets their individual needs at the right price. Because of the large number of network services in this country, it may help you to research and assess their offers before deciding on a cell phone plan.

When I chose my cell phone, my first consideration was whether I wanted a monthly plan or one that was prepaid. If cost is your prime concern then why not use the prepaid option; it is much quicker and easier to set up. For the seasoned user, even the cell phone could be supplied free of charge, even using the prepaid plan. The other option of paying monthly may suit those individuals who use the phone more frequently. You need to assess your usage frequency and requirements before you decide on a cell phone plan. You may research on the performance; for example if they have enough towers to reach you wherever you are. Just to confuse you more packages that are designed for your geographic location are available in addition to those based on families. You will need to take into account that these plans have disadvantages as well. One downside to prepaid cell phones is that they often have watered down functionality compared to those that are paid for monthly.

If you run a large business, you would not want a family type package as you might find it to restrictive for what you require. Of course the biggest benefit of a family plan is for the calls made between those family members who are on the same contract usually get a discount. There are also discounts for the airtime usage of family members using this cell phone plan. Long distance calls are included free with the National plans. Fortunately, you will not be charged for roaming calls when you have this type of plan. For regional use, this cell phone plan may require you to pay long-distance charges but the airtime rates may be cheaper.

Although the prepaid option is very popular, business people and those that travel a great deal won’t really benefit from this type of cell phone plan.

All of this notwithstanding, in order to make full and effective use of your cell phone, you may want to set some guidelines in your usage. Although individuals may not see the need to switch their cell phones off, business users will soon realize if they want any peace they will have too. Reserve some time for yourself and never allow people to disturb you during this period. Once you allow your company or customers to know you are available hey will become irate when you decide to turn your cell phone off. If you want to stay healthy and sane, allow yourself some free time without the cell phone.

Try as we might, we are never happy to accept things just as they are, that is why mobile phone ring tones and wallpapers have become so popular. Don’t dismiss this as just another gimmick because adding a mobileular phone ring tone or wallpaper is big business nowadays as the number of suppliers will confirm. Owing to this popularity, manufacturers are quick to create software and hardware to make this installation much easier.

This gave birth to a ring tone converter; software that will help to transfer ring tones from one mobileular phone to another. Many internet sites rely on the technology behind ring tone converters to enable them to be downloaded onto mobile phones. It is now also possible to send ring tones using the well known SMS system we all use for text messages. There is no need to worry about different mobile phone models and manufacturers either because they are generally cross compatible. Although there are mobileular phone models that do not support ring tone converters, it is possible that the mobileular phone has a built in mobileular phone ring tone which will help create an individual sound for your mobileular phone.

The latest models even do away with old fashioned cables and infrared to transfer ring tones so things are becoming even simpler. Of course, serious ring tone addicts like to create their own using built in composers. Creating your own ring tone and then changing it to suit your mood is the ultimate in personalization. More importantly, it is fun and easy to do with the latest ring tone converters which also have this function

mobileular phone ring tones are also available at an ever increasing number of internet web sites which now cater for the almost insatiable desire for new ring tones. Most of these web sites can send the ring tone via SMS and do not need to use your computer at all.

Knowing that there are mobile phone ring tone converters and built-in composers available, it may further enhance your mobile phone ring tone if you know which software is best to use with your converter. Being the master of your own ring tones is only this small step away and then who knows who you might want to pass them on to!

Having all these information, you may go to various internet sites and look for the best monophonic or polyphonic ring tones, which you may feel are suitable for your mobile phone. All you have to do is check that your phone can handle the software and that you use a compatible program, after that whether it is a new ring tone or wallpaper, you probably won’t come across any problems. From my experience with mobile phones, they normally come with a huge choice of ring tones, sometimes they don’t even have a traditional ring anymore so you may well find one on the phones system that you like.

Mobile Phone Wallpapers

The mobile phone has very quickly become a necessity in the world of instant communication. Modern children have grown up with the mobile phone as part of their lives and do not understand that many of us grew up safely and happy without the need for them, although the majority parents believe that their child will remain safe while they own one. It is true that no-one expected the popularity of mobile phones to be what it is today. Some experts suggest that the landline based telephone only has a limited lifespan unless features that are seen in the mobile phone are reproduced to compete. There has always been a need to individualize each phone and manufacturers have come up with unique ways to achieve this with an enormous variety of ring tones and screen backgrounds called mobile phone wallpaper.

Now, changing your wallpaper couldn’t be easier with web sites set up just for this purpose. Newer mobile phones can also send images from one phone to another so your friends can share similar backgrounds, even from the built in digital camera. Additionally, this modern technology also allows a picture taken from a digital camera to function as your phone wallpaper but you will need to upload the image to your phone.

For an even more personal approach to your mobile phone wallpaper then you can insert some witty comment in text form onto the background. For the many mobile phone users that are not able to customize their phone in this way, it is not something that should really concern them. There is no need to be overly concerned if you cannot alter your wallpaper because it may be possible for you to change the ring tone which will still personalize your phone for you. Anyway, the basic features of mobile phone like sending and receiving calls do not require these options.

The functionality of the mobile phone should not come second to customization and new backgrounds will not help you send an urgent text or call will they? I never favor form ahead of function and this is just as true with my mobile phone because as long as it does what it is supposed to do I am happy as the rest is just dressing. Lastly, telephone etiquette seems to be a thing of the past but good use of the phone should mean that it is observed. You are not your phone so when you make calls remember that people are judging your behavior, not your phone’s appearance.

Even if your phone does not include such high technology and innovative features, if you can turn off your phone during meetings and avoid having to annoy the other person in front of you, you are exhibiting a personality that is intrinsic in you. You may even get the respect from other users if you respect them they will not use their phone without thinking in situations that may annoy you. Respect is a two way street so to have respect from others means you have to earn it and then there is the opportunity that others around you will copy your lead.
