Lobster 621 – Gorgeous Looks for just £25
If you are searching for a low priced pay-as-you-go handset but are uninspired by the vast array of basic phones on offer then perhaps you should check out Virgin Mobiles exclusive Lobster 621 handset.
Available only from Virgin Mobile for £25 the Lobster is a stunning handset and looks much more impressive than a £25 price tag would suggest.
It has a sleek, mirrored front which offers a touch of glamour. The handset is slim and relatively lightweight, which adds to its visual appeal. The small and thin buttons add to the look (but do take away from ease of use) and there is a handy navigation key in the centre of the handset, which also doubles as a music or video controller.
The music function performs well and a WAP browser and JAVA gaming are also available. The 10MB of internal memory can be increased with an optional microSD card up to 2GB.
The only downsides to this phone are the 1.3MP camera, which has no flash and struggles in several light conditions. The screen on the handset also lets it down, due to its small size and offering only 65,000 colours – the result being a slightly fuzzy display.
The overall verdict is that this is a phone which has been designed for style rather than substance. However, its stunning looks are sure to attract quite a crowd and for £25 it is an incredibly cheap mobile phone and its one to be considered.
