Searching for a Value Handset in 2009?
If you are searching for a cheap mobile phone then keep reading…this could be just the phone for you…
With much talk of a credit crunch, mobile phone providers seem to be offering as many value phones for sale in 2009 as they are top of the range Smartphones.
One such example is the Samsung C300, available for just £15 on prepay with Virgin.
When launched in 2006, the C300 was surrounded in hype. It is a slick and sleek sliding phone, with a bright and clear colour screen.
This deal with Virgin is sure to be a hit for people who are on a tight budget, or for those who simply need a phone to talk and text.
The handset does not carry and MP3 player, or a camera, but the phone is more than capable at allowing the user to talk and text happily. It is easy to use, and at such a bargain price is sure to be the same hit in 2009 as it was at its launch in 2006.
Grab an iPhone 3G in time for Christmas
If you are considering purchasing a mobile phone this Christmas then the iPhone should be near the top of your list.
Available to buy from O2 stores, or online from O2 the UK’s most wanted smartphone, the iPhone 3G 8GB is available on both contract or pay-as-you-go.
If you are considering a contract then the iPhone is FREE on tariffs over £45/month. The cheapest monthly tariff with O2 is £30 per month, and this will mean the handset costs an additional £99 rather than being offered for free. All contracts for the iPhone are for an 18 month period.
If the thought of a monthly tariff is not appealing to you then for an initial outlay of £349.99 you can grab yourself this handset on a pay-as-you-go basis.
The iPhone is currently only available with O2 in the UK. You can purchase from O2 stores, on-line from O2 or from The Carphone Warehouse.

Argos Range of Nokia Handsets
If you are looking to buy a Nokia handset then consider Argos.
The high street retailer now offers 25 handsets from Nokia, some at bargain prices.
The range starts from the cracking and highly rated Nokia N96 – a must for the mobile phone fan, but not the cheapest at £599.
Towards the middle of the range Argos offer the Nokia 6500 slide on the Orange network. This handset offers good reviews on the Argos website.
Towards the cheaper end of the range is the Nokia 2610, which for £29.99 comes with an £10 of airtime on the Orange P-A-Y-G network.
Finally, the cheapest handset in the range is again the 2610 with T-Mobile. Although it is not supplied with free airtime it would make a great gift, or could be used as a second or emergency mobile. What’s more this handset receives superb reviews.
