Nokia 2600 Classic Review

If you are looking for a cracking, value for money mobile phone then consider the Nokia 2600 Classic.

This handset is nothing new, but with fresh and funky Xpress-On covers you can change the handset to suit your mood, keeping that new, fresh look for longer. Both the front and back covers can be changed and colours range from blue to orange, from black to beige.

Nokia fans will be delighted with the standard Nokia keyboard layout, which is easy to use. The menu interface is familiar and easy to navigate and the screen is bright and functional – just as you would expect from a low price point mobile.

For added convenience, shortcut keys can be determined by the user so you can quickly access your favourite functions. One such function may be the built in FM radio, or the VGA camera (which is pretty basic). There are also pre-loaded games, such as Snake EX2, Galaxy Balls and Sudoku. Other features include a voice memo, alarm, calendar, calculator, stopwatch, currency converter and expense manager.

The lack of any powerful applications means this handset can last for up to 580 hours on standby and provides 6 hours talk time.

For around £50 on Pay-As-You-Go this cheap mobile phone is hard to ignore and will make a reliable handset for plenty of every day use.
